##  Recovery Coach Scholarships 

 Training the next generation of Christian Recovery Coaches

The Church needs people who understand recovery and can walk with others through it in faith. Mark Twelve scholarships help graduates of the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy add Christian recovery coach training, so they can serve with both a recognized foundation in peer support and a Christ-centered approach.

## What the Scholarship Covers

The scholarship pays for Christian recovery coach training that builds on the skills you gained in the Recovery Coach Academy. It does not cover the Recovery Coach Academy itself. You’ll need to complete the RCA before you apply. 

## What You’ll Need to Apply

### Proof of Recovery Coach Academy Completion

Upload a copy of your CCAR Recovery Coach Academy certificate of completion with your application.

### Pastor Referral

Ask the pastor of the church you currently attend to write a short letter of referral. It should say how long your pastor has known you, describe your involvement in the church, and explain why they believe you’re ready to serve others in recovery. You can upload the letter with your application, or your pastor can email it directly to info@marktwelverecovery.org with your name in the subject line.

### Personal Essay

In 500 to 750 words, tell us why you want to become a Christian recovery coach. Help us understand what draws you to this work, how your faith shapes the way you want to serve, and how you hope to use your training in your church or community.

You’re welcome to share your own recovery story if it’s part of why you’re called to this work, but it isn’t required.

### Three Personal References

List three people who know you well and can speak to your character, faith, and readiness to serve. For each reference, include their name, how they know you, a phone number, and an email address. References should not be family members or the pastor who wrote your referral.

## How to Apply

Complete the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy and save your certificate.  
Ask your pastor for a referral letter.  
Write your personal essay.  
Gather contact information for your three references.  
Contact us using the form below.

 

## What Happens Next

We will contact you for a brief conversation about why you want to be a Christian recovery coach, then we'll send you a secure link to upload the required items for scholarship eligibility. 

We review every application and will contact you when a decision has been made. As part of the review, we may reach out to your pastor and your references. Scholarships are awarded as funds allow, so we may not be able to fund every qualified applicant in a given year.
